MYIMPACT AI

Privacy Policy

What information MyImpact AI uses, why it is needed and how to exercise your privacy rights.

Effective and last updated: 2 October 2026

1. Who is responsible

MyImpact AI, operated by an individual sole proprietor based in Nigeria, is responsible for the personal information it processes to operate the MyImpact AI software and respond to enquiries. Contact support@myimpactai.org for privacy questions or requests.

This policy covers myimpactai.org and its country workspaces. Independent portfolio projects and external websites have their own privacy notices. A payment provider may act as a separate controller for checkout, fraud prevention and legal obligations.

2. Information we process

  • Account and organisation information: your name, email address, sign-in and account records, workspace country, organisation profile and details you choose to provide.
  • Software content: prompts, uploaded files, field notes, organisation information, documents and generated outputs used in the tools you select.
  • Billing and usage: plan and credit balances, transaction identifiers, payment status, purchase history and software usage needed to deliver paid access. Checkout providers collect payment details; our software does not directly collect full card numbers.
  • Support and technical information: messages you send us, browser and device information, network identifiers and diagnostic or security logs where needed to operate and protect the service.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and manage accounts, provide the requested AI features, save or retrieve work where supported, deliver purchases, verify payments, maintain credit balances, respond to support, prevent abuse and comply with applicable law.

Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract for requested services, legitimate interests for proportionate service security and support, legal obligations for required records, and consent where required for optional processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not intentionally use private customer documents to train a MyImpact AI model.

4. AI processing and service providers

When you run an AI feature, relevant prompts and document content are transmitted to the service providers needed to generate the result. The current software uses cloud hosting and databases, including Vercel and Supabase, and AI services, including Anthropic and OpenRouter and the model providers reached through them. Providers used can vary by tool and configuration.

AI providers have their own retention and data-use terms. Some model routes, including free models, may permit provider retention or training use. We therefore cannot promise that every external model has zero retention or excludes training. Do not upload confidential, sensitive or identifiable beneficiary information unless you have verified the tool is appropriate for that data and have the necessary authority.

We may also use an email delivery service, such as Resend, to handle enquiries, and a checkout provider, such as Dodo Payments or Paddle where that provider is used for your order. They receive the information necessary for their function. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and security, or in a lawful business transfer with appropriate notice and safeguards.

5. Browser storage and cookies

The software uses browser storage, including local storage, for sign-in state, workspace settings, document history, organisation information and usage or payment records. Some work may remain only on your device; clearing browser data can remove it. Keep exports of important documents, and avoid shared devices for sensitive work.

Hosting, authentication and checkout services may use essential cookies or similar technologies. Optional tracking, if introduced, will be subject to notice and any consent required by law. Your browser lets you manage cookies and local storage, although disabling essential storage may prevent features from working.

6. Retention and international processing

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the requested service, maintain an active account, resolve support or billing issues, protect security and meet legal recordkeeping duties. Payment or fraud records may need to be retained after an account is closed. Local copies remain in your browser until removed there.

Our service providers may process information outside your country. Where required by applicable data-protection law, we use appropriate contractual or other lawful safeguards for international processing. We use reasonable security measures but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, restrict processing, object to certain uses, withdraw consent or complain to a data-protection regulator.

Email support@myimpactai.org from your account email with your request. We may verify your identity before disclosing or changing information and will respond within the period required by law. Explain which account or documents are affected; do not email passwords, full payment-card details or unnecessary identity documents.

Deletion may be limited by legal obligations and may require separate removal of copies held on your device. For information held independently by a checkout provider, you can also exercise rights directly with that provider.

8. Children and policy updates

The service is intended for adults and authorised organisational users, not for children to create their own accounts. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authority, contact us.

We will update this page when our practices change and provide notice of material changes where required. The date above identifies this version.
